Applications for the Diploma in Foundation Studies

When to apply
There are up to 60 places on the Foundation Course but as it is popular it is advisable to apply by the end of January. If you would like to talk to the art team before you apply you can visit the College on one of our open days in November and January.

Interviews
Interviews/ portfolio inspections for the Foundation Course take place from February.

Portfolio
We expect a wide range of different work to be presented at interview because school facilities and students’ backgrounds are so varied. No particular style or type of work is preferred. An emphasis is placed on observational drawing and development of ideas and you are recommended to show evidence of these aspects of your work when presenting your portfolio. Your work may come from a fine art subject, graphics, media, photography, 3D design, or textiles.
