PhotographyBTEC Level 3 Extended Diploma in Art & Design, Photography Coursework/Exams (%): 100/0 This course will enable you to develop a wider understanding of photography and prepare an art portfolio for University. You’ll explore a range of traditional and digital photography. You’ll learn through practical and critical activities to express and gain knowledge of the different areas within photography. You’ll be able to choose the genres and styles you want to explore. The course is equivalent to three A Levels and is very varied: as well as furthering your own practical skills through mediums including Photoshop, you’ll visit art galleries. Your second year will be mainly taken up with developing your art portfolio for university interviews and professionally presenting work produced during the course. AS/A2 Photography Coursework/Exams (%): 75/25 You’ll be introduced to a variety of experiences, exploring a range of traditional photography such as use of SLR film based cameras, darkroom printing as well as digital photography and photoshop manipulations. You’ll learn through practical and critical activities to demonstrate and understand different styles, genres and traditions of photography.
